JESUS

In the Bible, names are very revealing. To better know the person, better know the name. This is from a study I have done using a Strong's Concordance to better understand the name of Jesus in Greek and Hebrew, and the meanings of each name. One led to another and the query ended with YAHH the LORD:

The name of JESUS is an English transliteration of the Greek name; IESOUS, which is a Greek translation of the Hebrew name; YESHUA, meaning "he will save", a translation of ;YEHOSHUA, meaning "Yehovah-saved", rooted to; HOSHEA, meaning "deliverer", and rooted in meaning to the Jewish national name of God; YEHOVAH, meaning "the Self Existent or Eternal", and "the sacred name"; YAHH the LORD.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Answer...

John 12:36 While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.
Joh 12:37 But though He had done so many miraculous signs before them, they did not believe into Him,
Joh 12:38 so that the Word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, "Lord, who has believed our report? And the arm of the Lord, to whom was it revealed?" Isa. 53:1
Joh 12:39 Because of this they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,
Joh 12:40 "He has blinded their eyes" and "has hardened their heart," "that they might not see with the eyes" and "understand with the heart," "and be converted," "and I should heal them." Isa. 6:10

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The One we call "Jesus" in English, or "Yeshua or Yehoshua" in Hebrew, or "Iesous" in Greek, is the Word of God. The Word was sent from heaven and was born as a flesh arm of God, born of the the Spirit of God as his Father, and a human woman named "Mary" as his mother. Just as your arm is you, and with you, a part of you, so too are the Father and the Son one.

The arm of the most high Lord God is so big and powerful, there is a special place at the right hand of His power for Him to rest!

The Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. There are three that bear witness of God and these three are one.

(LITV)
1Jn 5:7 For there are three bearing witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
1Jn 5:8 And there are three who bear witness on the earth: The Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are to the one.

Some do not believe in a "Trinity", a tri-union of God, that there are three who bear witness of God, and these three are one. To those I often ask, "Which do you not believe in, the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit?" Who can dare say that there are not three that bear witness of God, and that these three are not one? That is the message we have received from God.

Reader, hearer, If you are a Christian I don't think you are in direct opposition to what I have just said, I do think many are close in agreement and understanding the simplicity of it, the "Trinity", but sometimes many think it only in the mind, forgetting to take it to heart.

The Father says: "This is my beloved son".
The Son says: "I and my Father are one".
The Holy Spirit surely says: "I am as the wind of their breath"

The holy heavenly powers of light are as the sun, the moon, and the stars, and the stars do fill the sky.

Of course that is not to say the Father was his own Son, or the Son his own Father, that is not to say God died for three days when Jesus did, or that Jesus talked to himself as he prayed to God. I don't say those things, but many do. Those are the lies that keep many Jews, Arabians, and Eastern Indians away from accepting the salvation from God through the sacrifice of his beloved son, because they know God is one. I see that one happen often, and it is sad.

I hear ol' Jo-Jo over there singing; "One and one and one is three!"

I hear God say; "Here, where I AM, One and one and one is ME!".

(haha... God laughed too.)

Mary had a little lamb,
his fleece was white as snow!
Everywhere the lamb of God went,
the seven spirits were sure to go!

Where God is, God is one. On earth or in heaven or both at the same time, as he chooses. The Bible tells us that the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

"Hear oh Israel the Lord your God, the Lord is one" Deuteronomy 6:4

The original Hebrew reads:

"SCHEMA YISREAL ADONI ELUHENU ADONI ECHAD"

In Hebrew there are two words for one:
YACHID - Strongs #3173 which means one in the singular numerical, as in Genesis 21, "take your one and only Son"

ECHAD - Strongs #259 a compound unity as in Genesis 2, "the man and woman became one flesh", which allows for the existence of more than one entity to exist within the unity.

In Mark 12:28-34, when Jesus Christ is asked what the most important commandment is, in reply he quotes the Old Testament teaching which is commonly called the Schema, which is the central creed of monotheism taught in the Bible:

(LITV) - Includes OT reference in NT:

Mar 12:28 And coming up, one of the scribes, hearing them arguing, knowing that He answered them well, he questioned Him, What is the first commandment of all?
Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is: "Hear, Israel. The Lord our God is one Lord,
Mar 12:30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul" and with all your mind, "and with all your strength." This is the first commandment. Deut. 6:4, 5
Mar 12:31 And the second is like this, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." There is not another commandment greater than these. Lev. 19:18
Mar 12:32 And the scribe said to Him, You say well, Teacher. You have spoken according to truth, "that God is one," Deut. 6:4, 5 and "there is no other besides Him;" Deut. 4:35
Mar 12:33 "and to love Him from all the heart", and from all the understanding, "and from all the soul, and from all the strength;" Deut. 6:4, 5 and "to love one's neighbor as oneself" Lev. 19:18 is more than all the burnt offerings and the sacrifices.
Mar 12:34 And seeing that he answered intelligently, Jesus said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared to question Him any more.

To say "The Lord our God is one Lord" is to say the Lord God is supreme in authority. Jesus said this too, that our God, his God, his father, was greater than he is. The Lord God Yehovah, the Father of Yehoshua Messiah is the supreme authority, the head. (see many scriptures below)

This is the truth that sets free. It's good bread. The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, there are three that bear witness of God, and these three are one. God is BIG. God is a Spirit. I think of it like this, the Father is as the head, the Son is as His strong arm, and the Holy Spirit as the wind of their breath. They all three bear witness of God, they all three are a part of God, with God, and they are God, because God is one. Where God is, God is one.

The spirit is for growing, the water is for cleansing, and the blood is for testing. On earth, the baptism of Christ is a thorough process of these three, as the orderly principles and powers of heaven have set in place firm.

The holy lamb of God offers all three, the spirit, the water, and the blood, as He sent the Holy Spirit unto the world when he put off his last breath.

He offers the water of cleansing on the seventh day, in a place of his rest, and a baptism of salvation unto those who partake of his water of life that we have received from God, his cleansing, salvation.

He gave his blood as a final sacrifice for sin, a final sin offering, that we may be free from the curse of the law, because it was said anyone who broke a single law was cursed. Being born of a woman, he was born under the law, and without sin, he fulfilled the law, lifting the curse of the law up from the earth as he rose from the dead.

Glory to God. God raised him from the dead. Tell the Good News to folks, it's good bread!

He is the bread of Life. In him there is life. He is life. Without him you are dead, cursed, because you are not free of the curse of the law. We who are free from the curse of the law are not free to break the law. Blessed are they that do his commandments. Say "Thank God for salvation!". It was his idea from the very beginning when he created the light.

The Good Shepherd is Christ. He calls his sheep. His sheep hear his voice, and they will come. Always always always!

The sheep say; "He is a good shepherd! In all my life, my fathers, and his fathers before him, there has been none who can take anything from his hands, not a one! We stay close to him, because we know we are safe in him!"

There are many aspects, persona's, and "Spirits of God", for "God is a Spirit", and this "Holy One of God" called The "Word" (LOGOS) of God was with God, and was God, and was manifest in the flesh and was made the "mouth, utterance, speaker, speech, and talk" of God becoming a "ruler" of mankind, a "divine expression of God". All things were created through Him. Jesus, "Son of Man", the "unique" Son of God, or "only begotten" Son of God born of a woman and the Spirit of God, the only being born in this manner, the "Anointed One" of God sent to reveal and fulfill all things pertaining to mankind.

When our God utters a Word, his Word lives, because it is always True and Right and Fair, Righteous every time, and for all time it has been and will be. Within this Spirit of God was His spoken Word, and it was God because it came from our God, yet God existed beside His Word, because His Word is a spoken decree of God, the Word being within God, and "with" God. And the Word became flesh and came to us, became like us, Humanity! The Word is God because He is God's Word.

Mary spoke wonderfully of this fulfillment within her, I'm sure the angel was very pleased with what she said:

*Luke 1:46-52 And Mary said, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath showed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree".

Glory, honor, and power be unto the LORD, with a strong arm He throws down the high and proud "mountains", and lifts up the low and humble "valleys"!

Praise be to the strong arm of the LORD! It is the LORD! The Spirit of God beget a beloved Son, JESUS, Yet they are one:

*John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father:

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

*John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

God made the decree as He said He would do:

*Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

The Spirit of God was upon Mary, and God beget a beloved Son, JESUS, So we know the Father and the Holy Spirit are one, Yet, the Father and the Son, they are one just the same! You believe in God, believe also in the Son:

*John 14:1-3* Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

This is not a fable!:

*2Peter 1:16-18 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory FROM GOD THE FATHER, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, with whom I am well pleased," WE OURSELVES HEARD THIS VERY VOICE borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

Believe in Him that the Father be glorified, because the Father has given all power to His beloved Son. His arm rules for Him! All power was given to the Son by the Father:

*John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

*Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Jesus made distinction between He and the Father, yet they are one. It is a great mystery, but I sum it up like this, The Word is God because He is God's Word. The Word was with God, and was God.

The Son was not His own Father. Jesus said His Father was greater than He was:

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Many seem to think that because Jesus said "I and my Father are one", that Jesus was saying He was His own Father. Or that as Jesus was manifest in the flesh, that His Father did not continue to have his being in the highest heaven. That is not so. God did not die. This is a major stumbling block to many non Christians, (especially Jews and Muslims), a reason for them not to believe in the deity of Messiah the Lord. Truth is, Jesus prayed to His Father in heaven as He was on earth manifest in the flesh. He was not talking to himself. His Father had his being in heaven as Jesus was manifest in the flesh upon the earth.

Truth is, Jesus was made the High Priest of God! And that is pretty high! There is none higher that God has ever appointed:

*Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Jesus said "ye believe in God, believe also in me." Jesus also said this:

*John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

*Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Consider this wonderful truth, that truly there is only one God. The Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, they are three, yet they are one.

1Jo 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1Jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1Jo 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jo 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1Jo 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1Jo 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1Jo 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1Jo 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1Jo 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Some ask who is this Jesus that men are willing to die for? He is not a figment of our imagination! He is not a liar! He is not even just a good man! Jesus is the LORD of all Lords, even the LORD! It is He in whom we move and have our being! We rejoice that we have free access to Him even now!

Believe in His name. Believe in Him. We say Lord, Hallelujah, come and reign, and rule over us, for thy rod thy staff they comfort us. We are not threatened by your Lordship, we are exalted by it!

What now?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

"Come to Me everyone who is carrying a heavy load, I will set that right. Your sins, all of them, are wiped out, I can do that. I am Re-birth, I am Life. Eat Me, drink Me, I am your Food. And finally, do not be afraid, I have overcome the whole Universe." - JESUS

Jesus, coming soon to a heart near you. Hear his words and ask him to reign over you. Please hear the message of SALVATION.

Say it with me, please...

I pledge allegiance... to the God... of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob... And to the kingdom... for which Christ stands... all nations... under God... invincible... with liberty and justice for all.

AMEN
