We Are The World

Before Jesus came, the Jews were the first people on earth to receive the word of God and offer up praise to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Jews were also the first to hear from God, through prophets or holy messengers. A "Gentile" was then anyone who was not a Jew. Back then the rest of the world knew nothing about God, God never spoke to them, as most loved worshiping false gods, images made of wood or stone made with their own hands, and living in wickedness. The Gentiles lived apart from God, and in Jewish thought, they were "The World".

Then the Messiah came, the promised "savior" of mankind, the very Word of God speaking to mankind one on one, putting on our moccasins and answering our questions, speaking greater things than Solomon to enlighten us of God's will concerning many matters. He taught us the will of God, exactly what God expected from us, revealing all the things important for us to know. Why? To make the world a better place. He spoke first to the Jew, then commissioned the gospel of the kingdom of God be preached to the Gentiles, to every creature under heaven, and the gospel of the kingdom of God was preached to the ends of the earth, to every creature under heaven, and Christianity was born.

Things have changed since Jesus came, since the birth of Christianity, since Jesus spoke the words you can now read in the Holy Bible. Things have changed, and for the better. To say things have not changed in the world is to say his words have had no effect in the world.

Christians are the world now, we are world wide. The world has heard the word that was first preached to the Jew. The Word of God is in the world now. We are the world now. We are the world!
