The sound of the first angel

(KJV Revelation 8:7) The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

I believe that is to say all flesh (grass) had received judgment from God, not literal hail and fire mingled with blood falling from the sky. That is to say judgment was now falling from the powers heaven, as the heavenly powers of judgment had declared. Messiah had come with a sword coming forth from his mouth, falling as a stone. Messiah had just ascended unto heaven, having risen from the dead. He had pronounced his judgments against the fruitless trees (works), and now, for that one third part of the world, that third part of fruitless trees were to receive this declared judgment, not literal fire, falling from the powers of heaven.

They had received judgment from heaven, not death. It certainly makes sense that all living people did not die, because reading further into the blessed book, if even one more page, you will see people still living on earth. And never forget, there is a great promise from God. Remember the rainbow?

If you take it literal that "all green grass was burnt up", as long as there is one single living green blade of grass on earth, don't tell me we are living in the "last days".

Hear a tale of a certain fig tree.
